History of the 1995 Jaguar XJS Convertible

The Jaguar XJS line ran from the mid-1970s through the mid-1990s, placing the 1995 model year near the end of production. Convertibles in this generation offered the same long hood and rear proportions as the coupes while adding the open-top configuration. Many examples from this period were equipped with automatic transmissions and leather interiors as standard or popular options.

The 1990s marked the final phase of the XJS before Jaguar moved to the XK8 platform. During those years the convertible version appealed to buyers looking for a British luxury two-seater with a distinctive profile. The listing places this particular car in the classic car and 1990s categories, which aligns with the model’s production timeline and body style.
