The Pontiac Wave was a subcompact car sold by General Motors under the Pontiac brand in Canada. It was based on the Chevrolet Aveo, which was manufactured by GM Daewoo (later GM Korea) in South Korea. The Pontiac Wave was essentially a rebadged version of the Aveo with some minor cosmetic differences.
The Pontiac Wave was available in both sedan and hatchback body styles and offered decent fuel efficiency, making it an affordable and practical choice for budget-conscious consumers. It came with a range of standard and optional features, including air conditioning, power windows, a CD player, and various safety features.
The production of the Pontiac Wave ceased after the discontinuation of the Pontiac brand in 2010 as part of General Motors' restructuring efforts during the economic downturn. The Chevrolet Aveo continued to be sold in Canada and other markets under the Chevrolet brand until it was eventually replaced by newer models.
